Dr Kiarash Banai qualified from King’s College Hospital Dental Institute in London in 1996. After spending a year in general dental practice, he began his postgraduate clinical training as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, University College Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

During this time, he gained significant experience in a wide range of complex surgical procedures and treatments across all aspects of oral surgery and oral medicine. This culminated in 1999, when he was awarded membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Banai then went on to begin specialist training as a Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics at the Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and Dentistry and St George’s Hospital in London. In 2002, he earned his MSc degree in Orthodontics, following the publication of his MSc thesis. After three years of specialist training, he was awarded membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003. This marked the completion of his specialist training, and he was entered onto the General Dental Council’s specialist list in orthodontics.

Dr Banai has also worked as a Clinical Lecturer at Warwick University and as a Specialist Doctor at St George’s Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. In these roles, he has taught postgraduate students and treated complex orthodontic cases.

Throughout his career, Dr Banai has treated more than 10,000 orthodontic patients using both established and contemporary treatment modalities for adults and children. This includes completing more than a thousand Invisalign cases, and he is recognised as an Invisalign Platinum Provider.
